Pre-designed plant layouts for fast delivery and easier permitting
NW Rapid provides pre-designed plant layouts and process flowsheets for a wide range of aggregate applications and production capacities. The portable plant is designed with primary, secondary and tertiary crushing stations that include portable crushers, feeders and conveyors - all designed to fit together seamlessly.
With ready-made process flowsheets and the standard machine offering, the entire crushing plant can be up and running withing weeks instead of months. In many cases, also the crushing permit is easier to get for a portable plant than for a stationary plant. The crushers are mounted on the chassis and no heavy concrete foundations and steel structures are needed at the site.

Quick to set up and easy to relocate
Portable crushing plants are ideal for 1-2 years of crushing operations in one location such as highway, bridge, airport or dam construction projects. The equipment can be re-located on site – also called pit portable - and transported on road to a new location by a standard truck. In many cases, no special transportation permit is needed.
The NW Rapid machines are specially designed for quick set up for the entire crushing and screening plant. Thanks to hydraulically adjusted support legs and other functions, no heavy cranes are needed. The wheel-mounted chassis also reduces the need for heavy concrete foundations.
Process control and remote use as a standard
Process control is a standard feature in NW Rapid portable solutions. It optimizes, monitors and controls the crushing stations. The IC control system also includes a Remote User Interface (RUI) with no extra license cost. You can control the entire process with a PC from the control room. No additional programming or software is needed as the RUI is displayed on a browser.
A remote process control increases the safety of the employees as the process can be adjusted from the control room without stopping it. Automatic process control increases productivity and preventive maintenance, while at the same time improves the quality and consistency of the end product.

Proven Metso crushers for more flexibility in crushing operations
Nordwheeler portable crushers are equipped with the proven Metso crushers such as Nordberg® HP, GP and C series as well as Barmac® and HRC™. The range has models with or without a screener, making it even more flexible to change the process layout according to the feed material or end product requirement changes.
Nordwheeler™ plants are powered by electricity. By using renewable energy sources, the operation is even more sustainable, an increasingly important feature when applying for crushing permits as well as when quoting for new jobs with strict sustainability requirements.
